Leaders of Patriots for Europe bloc parties share stage with Viktor Orbán during the rally in Budapest.
"We will win", declared the Hungarian Prime Minister during the First Patriots Grand Assembly in Budapest, less than three weeks before the crucial parliamentary election.
During the open air meting of leaders from the Patriots for Europe bloc in central Budapest, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that this is the first time in European history that leaders of patriotic parties have gathered in one place to demonstrate their commitment towards the freedom of European nations. Viktor Orbán reminded his audience that many accuse his government of being isolated, of fighting futile battles against windmills. "This is a misunderstanding", he warned. Hungarian patriots have clear objectives and plans that will help them achieve their goals. They make no secret of their goals: it is to take over the leadership of the European Union. It is to occupy and transform the EU central in Brussels. The goal is a Europe of proud and free nations, not one characterized by an "ever closer union", he pointed out.
The goal is to make the continent shine in national colors,
the Prime Minister emphasized. This should be the largest political transformation in the EU's history. "We are fighting for the soul of Europe", he said. Though this is done on multiple levels, at universities or local communities, the Hungarian government is at the epicenter of this political transformation, he pointed out. This is because patriots are the kind of politicians who put their trust in their own people. To them their own national community always comes first. Viktor Orbán said that geographic and cultural distances among these nations may be significant, but they are all bound by a shared conviction that Europe can only be successful as a form of co-operation among free and sovereign nations.
The prime minister described the European political scene as one made up of blocs. In his view, the failures of the Burssels bureaucrats are unquestionable. That is why in 2024 the Patriots for Europe alliance was created, and ever since there is a political stalemate on our continent. The left are getting weaker, patriots are getting stronger, he said. Nevertheless the European left is still holding the political landscape in Europe in their grasp. In Italy the patriotic government of Matteo Salvini and Giorgia Meloni are doing great things, yet they are still forced to make compromises with Brussels. In France conservatives are battling a cordon sanitaire in which none of the other parliamentary parties are willing to form a coalition with them. In Austria, although the conservative FPÖ is the most popular party, they are still unable to form a government.
And without an Austrian success the success of Central European patriots cannot be complete,
said Viktor Orbán.
He continued by warning that the left in Brussels want to bring Ukraine into the EU through an expedited mechanism, which would be tantamount to a betrayal of European taxpayers, as it would put an unbearable burden on their shoulders. Amid such dangers there is an ever urgent need for co-operation among patriotic parties. Together they must say no to the Green Deal, to mass migration, or to Ukraine's EU membership. Only this can save Europe, said the Hungarian head of government.
Finally, he referred to the upcoming elections in Hungary. In his view, the EU elite in Brussels and the Ukrainian leadership in Kyiv have joined forces in order to create a government in Hungary that they can control. The EU is doing this via their digital censorship of conservative contents, while Ukraine is putting pressure on Hungary through their oil blockade. Despite all this, the governing parties will win the election on April 12, pledged Viktor Orbán. And eventually, in a similar fashion, patriotic parties will surge across Europe, they will win the battle for the soul of Europe. They will make Europe great again, concluded his words Viktor Orbán.
