AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department announced Monday it has arrested a suspect in what it called a "serial stalking/window peeping" case.
APD arrested 59-year-old Anthony Golden on Friday, March 20, in connection with a series of stalking and window peeping incidents, according to the police department.
Golden was charged with one count of stalking, and additional cases are believed to be connected to him. Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
Attorney information was not available for Golden on Monday, but when it becomes available, KXAN will reach out to his attorney for a statement on the charge(s).
APD said in a press release that a "significant tip" played a crucial role in identifying the suspect, which ultimately led to an arrest.
Police asked that anyone with information regarding the suspect and/or any related incidents contact APD Special Victims Investigations Unit, Sergeant Hanna-Morris at (512) 974-5068. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477.
