Police identify man found dead in Jackson

JACKSON, MI - Police have identified the body of a man found dead in Jackson Sunday afternoon.
Richard Russ, 59, was found dead Sunday, March 22, in the 300 block of W. Prospect Street in Jackson, according to the Jackson Police Department.
Russ, a man known to be experiencing homelessness in Jackson, was found by officers at 1:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a dead body, police said.
The man's body was taken to the Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the cause of death. The death is being investigated as suspicious, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
