Here's why the police helicopter was spotted over Darlington yesterday

These reports were related to a stolen motor vehicle. There was an increased police presence around the Neasham Road area of Darlington as police searched for the stolen motor vehicle with help from the NPAS police helicopter. A National Police Air Service (NPAS) spokesperson said: "On Sunday March 22, a police helicopter crew from NPAS Newcastle was deployed to the area of Darlington. "The task was to support Durham Constabulary with the search for a stolen motor vehicle. "Total flying time was 50mins".
