Baton Rouge, LA - Guy Arnone, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was born in Tickfaw, Louisiana, on January 5, 1930, and graduated from Independence High School. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at Ormet Corporation as Operations Manager and retired after 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Michelli Arnone; two infant children; his parents, Jack and Catherine Spitale; his brother, Vince; and his sisters, Francis and Cecilia D'Hemecourt.
He is survived by his son Guy Gerard Arnone, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane, in Baton Rouge, on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Visitation starts at 9:30am with a Funeral service at 11am. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, located at 9595 Florida Blvd in Baton Rouge.
Please join us afterwards at the Reception Hall for lunch next door to Greenoaks for his Celebration of Life.
Family asks that, in lieu of flowers, a contribution be made to either the Companion Animal Alliance of Baton Rouge or the Wounded Warrior Project.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Guy's caregivers, St. George Fire Department, the Homebound Ministers of St Patrick's church, relatives, and neighbors who surrounded him with care, kindness, and support in his final season of life.
