Just a few weeks after launching in Italy and France, Genesis is now entering the Dutch market with three fully electric models. Unlike in Germany, the brand is not offering any combustion engine vehicles in its latest European markets, at least for now.
The portfolio available in the Netherlands matches those in France and Italy: Hyundai's luxury brand, Genesis, is launching in the country with its first all-electric vehicle, the GV60, a compact luxury SUV that received an update last year. Additionally, the Netherlands will offer the electric flagship SUV, the Electrified GV70, and the electric luxury saloon, the Electrified G80.
As in other markets, Genesis aims to impress in the Netherlands with competitive pricing, extensive standard equipment, customer-focused features, high-performance electric powertrains, and a wide range of customisation options. In the Netherlands, prices start at €49,900 for the Genesis GV60, €65,400 for the Electrified GV70, and €74,200 for the Electrified G80.
"The launch in the Netherlands represents another important milestone for the brand in Europe. We are confident that by working together with strong dealer partners such as Zeeuw & Zeeuw and Broekhuis, we will build a solid business and drive a continued success of Genesis in the Dutch market," said Peter Kronschnabl, Managing Director of Genesis Europe.
Genesis has ambitious plans for Europe this year. While the brand was previously only available in Germany, the UK, and Switzerland in the region, it has already expanded its distribution network to include France and Italy in February, followed by the Netherlands. Spain is also set to follow later this year.
Kronschnabl added: "2026 marks a pivotal year for Genesis as we continue to accelerate our growth across Europe. With the brand launching in four major markets, Italy, France, Spain, and the Netherlands, we are expanding our presence and bringing the Genesis experience to a wider audience."
