A free medical outreach held as part of Anastasis 2026 has provided healthcare services to about 150 residents, offering relief to many in the community.
The outreach, which took place on Friday, March 20, 2026, marked Day 4 of the programme and focused on delivering essential medical support, including health screenings, consultations, and free medication.
Participants began arriving from 9:00 am to register for the exercise, which organisers described as one of the key highlights of the event. The initiative was designed to address pressing health needs by making basic healthcare services accessible at no cost.
The programme commenced with a health talk on general wellness and reproductive care delivered by Mr. Michael Oladotun. During the session, participants received guidance on preventive care and healthy living practices.
Following the lecture, beneficiaries underwent various medical checks, including vital signs assessment, blood sugar testing, and reproductive health support. Medical professionals also conducted consultations and prescribed medications, which were distributed free of charge.
Organisers said the outreach aimed to bridge gaps in access to healthcare, particularly for individuals who may not be able to afford medical services.
Speaking on the initiative, the Convener of Anastasis 2026, Pastor Wale Olamoyegun, said the outreach reflects a commitment to impacting lives beyond spiritual activities.
"Anastasis is not just about spiritual revival; it is also about showing God's love in practical ways. Through this medical outreach, we were able to meet important health needs in the community by offering free screening, consultations, reproductive care support, blood sugar tests, and medications. We are grateful that lives were touched and people left better than they came," he said.
The outreach was hosted by Deeper Life Campus Fellowship, Ijoko Region, with support from Geminine Foundation and Solayo.
Organisers noted that the exercise underscores the broader goal of Anastasis 2026 to combine spiritual engagement with social impact, particularly in the area of community health and wellbeing.
