A late-night house party at a Kissimmee rental property took a dark turn when a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed. At approximately 1:26 a.m. on March 14, 2026, Osceola County deputies were called to a home on Shanti Drive following reports of gunfire. When they arrived at the gated community, they found a chaotic scene with over 100 people attempting to flee the area. Deputies discovered the victim, later identified as Qvarious Savion McCloud, near the backyard pool area, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency responders rushed the teenager to a nearby hospital, but he was eventually pronounced dead. Investigators confirmed that McCloud had traveled from Orlando to attend the gathering. The sheer volume of people at the residence has complicated the initial investigation. Authorities noted that because so many attendees left the scene before police could secure the perimeter, there is currently very little information regarding the motive or the identity of the shooter. The shooting has sparked significant concern among neighbors in the gated development, who questioned how a party of that scale was permitted to take place in their neighborhood. Despite the size of the crowd, no arrests have been made, and no suspect descriptions have been released to the public. Detectives are now looking for anyone who was at the party to provide insight into what happened. They are specifically asking for any cell phone footage or photos taken during the night that might show the moments leading up to the gunfire.
