QUEBEC, Canada (WKRC) - A father and son were banned from donating sperm after the pair allegedly fathered over 600 children total, which experts said could pose risks to the children and their families. According to a lawsuit and court documents obtained by CBC, Quebec's Superior Court temporarily instated a ban against a man and his son for donating sperm after they allegedly fathered 450 and 160 children each, although the lawsuit did not specify which man fathered more. The lawsuit was reportedly filed by a woman who had three children using sperm from one of the men, and a fourth with sperm from the other man. She accused the pair of breaking an agreement in which they would not father more than 25 and 10 children each. According to court documents, the men denied that they agreed to stop donating sperm after a certain amount of children, but acknowledged that they were well above the recommended amount of sperm donations. Judge Simon Chamberland ruled on March 18 that by exceeding the recommended amount of donations the two men put the children they fathered and their families at risk, and that it increases the prejudices against the plaintiff and her children.
