Chance of SNOW this week as temperatures expected to plummet

Forecasters have suggested there is a chance that parts of Suffolk could see snowfall this week.
Weather modelling site WX Charts is indicating that snow showers are possible over areas including Ipswich, Sudbury and Haverhill on Wednesday and into Thursday as a colder airmass moves across the region.
According to the Met Office, temperatures across Suffolk are expected to drop close to freezing on several nights later this week, increasing the chance that any showers could fall as sleet or snow, particularly inland and over slightly higher ground.
However, its latest detailed forecast for Ipswich and the wider east of England points to largely dry conditions, with brighter spells by day and only scattered showers in places.
At the moment, the Met Office is not signalling any significant snow event for Suffolk and has not issued a specific snow warning for the county, which suggests confidence in widespread snowfall remains limited.
WX Charts' output does highlight the potential for brief, localised snow showers midweek, but this kind of model-driven signal can change as the week progresses, so people are being advised to keep an eye on updated forecasts.
